Set on the periphery of the Culham Science Centre and surrounded by open fields, the new Culham Science Centre Nursery and Preschool is a woodland nursery servicing the Science Centre and local Abingdon community.

The nursery is sited to have a direct relationship with the aligning leafy treed playground. The buildings simple gable roof pitches and window placements reference the simple forms of how a child first draws a house.

The nurseries light filed interiors are influenced and proportioned to child scale whilst providing staff with an energy efficient and comfortable working environment.
