We are pleased to share our competition entry for a new housing development in Midland Road, Bristol. The competition invited architects to submit solutions-focused proposals for a 100% affordable development of exceptional quality.  The aim was to deliver a flagship scheme of around 70 homes which are as climate smart as possible to reduce costs for residents and supports the city’s climate goals

Our competition was based on a concept of a Vertical Village. The design strategy seeks to provide an urban framework for its inhabitants: a canvas for individual and collective expression, rooted in a sense of community.
