Front door to larch timber clad barn extension

Our larch clad extension to The Old Barn in Dundry, Somerset, was featured in the RIBA Journal, July 2023.  This former barn structure has been extended and adapted to provide additional living spaces along with an enclosed garden for this young family. Working closely with the client, Mitchell Eley Gould have produced a proposal that increases the footprint of the home whilst responding to the historic agricultural context and form. We were delighted to share completed images and discuss the process we went through with the RIBA.
