Woodstock Farm

Betchworth, Surrey

Woodstock Farm comprises a Grade II listed late 16th century farmhouse and early 18th century barn both of which were in a state of partial delapidation with the latter near collapse when the project started. The buildings had suffered inappropriate repairs in the early 1950’s much of which needed to be removed before the careful conservation of the barn commenced following the construction of the green oak framed car port adjacent to the barn that was to provide temporary workshop accommodation. The 1950’s section of the farmhouse was dismantled and reconstructed and provided the connection to the new contemporary green oak extension. The landscaping was rationalised and provides a simple uncluttered environment around the buildings that reflect the agricultural heritage.
